Genre: Biblical Allegory/Christian Fiction-Fantasy/ Children/Teen/Young Adult/Family Read-Aloud
The Kingdom has dawned. The King has chosen a people. The only problem is they’re held hostage by the relentless Fairos. (Ironic name.) However, a valiant Knight of the King arrives with a mission to set the people free.
Leinad strives to lead the people in the King’s Code through years of slavery, famine, and darkness. When all fall away, he finds a loyal heart in Tess and Audric. Together, these three face epic duels, mysterious warriors, and blood-thirsty Dragamoths.
The armies of the Dark Knight are preparing to swoop down and destroy the people called to bring the new Kingdom. to save them all, Leinad, Tess, and Audric must beat back the enemy and deliver the King’s hope. Will they be too late?
Kingdom’s Hope is the second installment in Chuck Black’s Kingdom Series, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. He kept his writing style consistent with the first book.
This epic covers the time from Moses to Malachi. One element of Chuck Black’s allegory that is so great is that, although I know what is coming, I cannot guess how he will choose to portray it in his medieval land. He surprised me several times – in good ways.
Leinad is no longer the youth in the last book. The changes I enjoyed most were his undying love for the King and his fervor for the King’s Code to be kept. Though constantly unsure of himself, Leinad is confident in the King and becomes a warrior, prophet, and advisor.
I’m raising a Hallelu Yah! Praise be to El Shaddai, for giving us His commandments so that we could see His righteousness and our need to turn to Him for cleansing, so we will live with Him!
Pick up the book and discover the amazing, yet peculiar Kingdom’s Hope!
Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go to Pharaoh and say to him: This is what the LORD says: ‘Let My people go, so that they may worship Me.'”
