Hiya!

I’m Alyson – redeemed daughter of God through the grace of Jesus Christ.

I am a homeschool graduate, living with my parents and seven siblings on our farm in south Alabama. We raise sheep, goats, ducks, chickens, turkeys, pigs, and rabbits. In our “spare time,” my siblings and I play board games and dissolve into laughter after 9pm.

I am the self-published authoress of The Pure Line Series, Christian fiction novels for teens wrought with epic battles, humor, and faith in God. I hope to impact readers with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and encourage them to See the spiritual battle, Fight the real enemy, and Conquer through Jesus Christ.

I pen the Inspiring Writers with God’s Word blog filled with spiritual, practical, and technical advice. By learning from the Master Author, God, we have examples, tried-and-true techniques, and inspiring ideas to fuel our writer brains and hearts to write stories with God and for the benefit of others.

I also review Christian books on the Kingdom Seekers Circle. The goal of KSC is to fill our libraries with books that help us to “seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness” (Matthew 6:33, the Bible).

Beyond Writing

I also enjoy…

  • Playing board games and card games with my siblings
  • Singing (there’s almost always a tune in my head) + playing the guitar
  • Reading Christian books
  • Baby animals on the farm
  • Washing dishes
  • Eating homemade tacos
  • Laughing and hanging out with my family and friends
  • The Hebrew language (I’m not fluent, but it’s a joy to continually learn)

My Testimony

I was 5 years old when I realized that I had sinned, and sin was rebellion against God’s perfect law, which separated me from Him. I understood the Good News that Jesus had come to earth to die on the cross, bearing my sin and destroying its power.

I understood that Jesus was buried and rose again on the third day to bring me back to the Father! All I had to do was receive this free gift by faith. One December night in 2005, I confessed my sin to Jesus and asked Him to be Lord of my life.

As a little girl suddenly filled with the joy of the Holy Spirit, I did what came naturally: I went to share with my older sister. I ran into the room we shared and leapt upon her top bunk. Then, bouncing up and down in excitement, I cried, “Sissy, I’m a Christian now! I’m a Christian now!”

I was baptized a short time later. Since then, I’ve continued to walk with the Lord and – by His grace – I will through all eternity.
