When I completed Chained, I had no clue it would lead to an entire series of books. My sisters and brother loved the book so much that I decided to write another about Adrian Falkner for them. They loved that one, too!

Spurred on by inspiration from God, other Christians who write, my siblings, and God-gifted imagination, I penned The Pure Line Series.

Chained is the first in a series of seven. What began as an imaginary boy’s dream in a notebook turned into seven full-fledged books in less than two years!

Yet, I didn’t give any thought to publishing them—leastways, not any serious thought. I kept writing. I loved the reactions on my siblings’ faces, the pillows they threw at me when they didn’t like a story twist, the cheers when we finally got back to their favorite characters. I loved the creativity of story plotting, creating new characters, and finding unique ways to spread the Gospel through the pages.

In 2019, my high school graduation year, my mom told me I should publish my books. Now, I began to give it serious thought. At first, it didn’t seem like too much work. I made revisions in Chained, and my mom read and approved them. Then, my dad stepped in with all the logical things we had to do.

Let’s just suffice to say it was a long but good, two-and-a-half-year journey. Chained is entirely written, edited, and published by my wonderful family and myself with God’s help. I’ve learned a ton. The other books in the series still have to be edited and published, but by God’s grace, they will be.

So, The Pure Line Series begins! The journey to unlock the meaning of Pure Line takes the first step of seven.
